Since 1990 Maureen J. W. Turner has worked with master consciousness
teachers doing experiential psychospiritual work in the U.S. She has
studied extensively with various Jungian analysts at the C. G. Jung
Institute in Evanston, Illinois and completed Gay Luce's Nine Gates
Mystery School, a program meant to simulate the mystery schools of the
ancient world. She is certified in the Body Centered Transformation work of
Gay and Kathlyn Hendricks and has trained with Drs. Hal and Sidra Stone
in Voice Dialogue (Shakti Gawain stated in an interview in Magical Blend
that in her opinion the Stones had created the most impressive
methods of
getting in touch with our inner parts, a process necessary for advancing
in consciousness). She has worked extensively with Dr. Jack Miller, a
Jungian analyst and creator of the Phoenix Project, an intensive program
for healing grief and loss. She has studied the Enneagram with Helen Palmer,
Don Riso and Russ Hudson, and with Tom Condon and is a certified teacher
in the Enneagram of Transformation work created by Kathy
Hurley and Theodorre Donson. She has also worked with many different
Awareness Through Movement (Feldenkreis) teachers.
Maureen considers
Ron Roth (whom she sometimes refers to as her "Holy Spirit
Guru") and Agnes Sanford, the Christian mystic, as most important in
directing her to her present path. At least once a
year Maureen travels to the U.S. to work with teachers that she feels to be
right for her in advancing her own work. This
year she plans to do the Hoffman Quadrinity Process, as well as continuing her
enneagram studies.
Ken Turner became interested in esoteric subjects as a boy of 10
reading his aunt’s astrology magazines. This interest paralleled
his fascination with science until graduate school when it became
necessary to concentrate on physics, his professional specialty.
After earning his doctorate in physics and doing post-doctoral
work in radio astronomy, he turned again to his long-standing
metaphysical interests in 1968, working with groups following
the Western esoteric traditions as formulated by the Golden Dawn,
a group which appeared in England toward the end of the 19th century.
He also began to read the collected works of Carl Jung, P. D. Ouspensky,
and Maurice Nicoll. The latter two authors led him to contact
with fourth way groups in Argentina and in the Washington DC area
where he has been associated with Hugh Ripman's FOCAS groups since 1973.
Ken has been certified at the Master level in the Body Centered
Transformation techniques of Gay and Kathlyn Hendricks, and is
authorized to teach the Enneagram personality development
approach of Kathy Hurley and Theodorre Donson. Now retired,
he has lived and worked in Puerto Rico for 22 years.
